Then, it multiplies that by an activity factor to estimate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) — the calories you burn in a typical day, including activity.

  • BMR (Mifflin-St Jeor) = 10×70 + 6.25×175 − 5×25 + 5 ≈ 1,674 kcal
